OWL CARD

Check out this cute little owl card. It’s very easy to make so you’ll probably want to make a few of these at a time. The samples I’ve made are for Valentine’s Day, but the cards could easily send a birthday, get-well, graduation, or anniversary message. This project, “Owl Valentine Card,“could be made by any grade, so you’ll find the directions in the Valentine’s Day Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

FROG CARD AND TREAT HOLDER

This little frog is all ready to deliver a message and a candy bar. There is a space between the front and the back of the frog where a candy bar can be placed. The front insert on the frog is left blank on the pattern so you can write any message you want. I’ve put a Valentine’s message on the sample, but this little frog could also be used as a place card and favor holder. A message like, Hoppin you have a Happy Birthday, or I’m hoppin mad I forgot your birthday, are just a couple of other possibilities. The directions for “Frog Card” can be found in the Valentine’s Day Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

HEART AND FLOWER

Artist Kathy Kromer has a website at, http://www.kathykromer.com/_hearts001.htm that not only shows her art, but also has an artists’ bio page. Intensity is her trademark. Although she uses acrylics on canvas, with this project we attempt to copy her art using colored construction paper and oil pastels. I’ve included this project, “Hearts And Flowers,” in the Valentine’s Day Projects Gallery in the sidebar because any class 3rd through the 6th could easily do it.
