SPARKLING BIRDS

I first saw these “Sparkling Bird Ornaments” in the Dec. 05 issue of the Pack-O-Fun magazine. I have received written permission to share the patterns on this website. I made some of them with construction paper and think they are really cute. I’ve also made some with old greeting cards that I think are very nice also.  These are so easy to make. The supply list and directions for ” Sparkling Bird Ornaments” are found in the Christmas Projects Gallery, in the sidebar.

“GOD’S GREATEST GIFT” WREATH

Stressing the real reason for the Christmas season, we’ve made a project call “God’s Gift Wreath.” A cardboard wreath is the basis of this project. The outside circle diameter is 8″ and the inside circle is 4″. This is an easy project, so I’ve included it in the 1st Grade Projects Gallery in the sidebar. Sprinkle on glitter could be used in place of the glitter glue if the kids can control the white glue.

A BLANKET FOR JESUS

Baby’s love their blankies, so we’re making a blanket to give to the baby Jesus. The kids will have lots of fun designing a blanket for Jesus and then tucking Jesus inside. There are patterns included for both the blanket (no designs in the blanket) and the baby. Click on the photo to the left for a larger image.

Any class could do this project, A Blanket for Baby Jesus, so I’m putting it in the Christmas Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

You can almost feel the cold depicted in this blustery winter scene. The wispy clouds continue to spread their snowflakes, even as they appear to be slowly moving away. At first, it appears the picture is of a distant field, until ……. For the instructions for this painted snowman project, look for “Toasty Snowman,” in the Christmas Projects Gallery in the sidebar.

TWIGGY SNOWMAN

Snowmen are a winter project that we can use before Christmas, during the Christmas season and even for a time after Christmas. So if you are very limited in time, snowmen are the way to go. The pattern for this can be printed on white paper and then just colored if you want to make a short project of it. Or there are also patterns for the vest, hat and pockets that can be printed on colored papers and used instead. The body pattern is in two pieces that need to be printed, overlapped where they match, taped and then copied. This snowman is finished on both sides. The finished length is 16 1/2″ and is easy enough for any class. Find “Twiggy, the Snowman” in the Christmas Projects Gallery in the sidebar. Click the photo for a full length view.
